SLURM

Checks whether SLURM works like expected…

sinfo

Or an already populated cluster

Hello World

The hello.c example from the MPI verification can also be run via SLURM.

cat > hello.sbatch << EOF
#!/bin/bash
#SBATCH --job-name=hello-world
#SBATCH --ntasks-per-node=2
#SBATCH --output=/fsx/logs/%x_%j.out

mpirun ${HOME}/hello
EOF
mkdir -p /fsx/logs
sbatch -N2 hello.sbatch

The job will wait until the compute nodes are up and running.

squeue

Eventually the job will start running (even though it is quickly finishing, you might not see the output).

THe output will show lines from both nodes.
